| Elissa Bemporad - Visiting Fellow in Jewish Studies and History at Eugene Lang College/The New School Bemporad explores how Soviet Jewish identity in the late 1930s was shaped by the knowledge of what was happening to Jews in Fascist Poland and Nazi Germany, and on the other hand by the absence of official antisemitism in the Soviet Union.
