| The YIVO Institute for Jewish Research's collections of East European Jewish history and culture have been amassed in part through in-kind gifts from the public and other institutions. From the very beginning we have collected books, manuscripts, maps, newspapers, broadsides, posters, eyewitness testimonies from the Holocaust period, photographs, music and theater scores, and other items that chronicle the history and culture of Jews in Eastern Europe and their descendants today in America, Israel, and across the globe. Should you have materials you think might be appropriate for the YIVO Archives or Library, please contact the staff member listed below to discuss a potential gift. | Matching Gifts |

| Check with your employer to see if they offer a matching gift program so that your contribution can be doubled or even tripled in value. In most cases, you fill out a form that you can send in with a donation, which we then complete and return to your employer. | ||
| Gifts of Securities |

| It may be advantageous to make your gift directly in the form of securities rather than in cash. An outright gift of long-term, appreciated secruties is exempt from capital gains taxes and you will receive a charitable tax deduction for the fair market value of the securities. Many donors feel this is the easiest and most effective way to support YIVO. | ||
| Endowed Funds |

| You may also want to establish a named fund to remember or honor friends and loved ones. YIVO staff can help you create a fund for a special purpose.
