YIVO is pleased to introduce Yiddishland: Countries, Cities, Towns, Rivers, the newest publication of the Online Reference Library. This is the first attempt to collect and publish all Yiddish place names of Central and Eastern Europe in one book. We have now made available place names found in all the countries of east Europe. This is, however, not the final version; we plan to update this gazetteer as further information becomes available.
