The YIVO Archives graciously accept accessions to our collections. Please call Leo Greenbaum, YIVO’s Acquisitions Archivist at 212-294-6145 if you are interested in making an in-kind contribution. Donation of select books and journals to the library are welcome. Please contact Aviva Astrinsky, YIVO’s Head Librarian at 212-294-6134, for more information. Check with your employer to see if they offer a matching gift program so that your contribution can be doubled or even tripled in value. In most cases, you fill out a form which you can send in with a donation, which we then fill out and send to your employer.
It may be advantageous to make your gift directly in the form of securities rather than in cash. An outright gift of long-term, appreciated secruties is exempt from capital gains taxes and you will receive a charitable tax deduction for the fair market value of the securities. Many donors feel this is the easiest and most effective way to support YIVO.
You may also want to establish a named fund to remember or honor friends and loved ones. YIVO staff can help you create a fund for a special purpose.
For more information on any of these ways of giving, you can e-mail Ella Levine, Director of Development and External Affairs at firstname.lastname@example.org, or call her at 212-294-6128. You can also write to her at our mailing address:
