Documenting History; Keeping a Promise Most of the photographs in Light One Candle were taken by George Kadish, who documented the Kaunas (Kovno) Ghetto as events were unfolding there. Solly Ganor, a survivor of the ghetto, organized this exhibition of Kadish's photos to fulfill a wartime promise to tell the story of the ghetto to the world.
